This Saturday is the Kiwanis One Day carnival and the District Social Fundraiser. Please try to attend both! More information can be found in the latest agenda. The board would really appreciate if all Brea KCers could attend the social! Anyone that is attending DCON MUST attend. KCers are allowed to bring their friends to join in on the fun event which will include activities such as swimming, meeting new people, a water balloon fight, eating food and preparing for this year's convention. The fee is only $5!!

Seniors can now check their cumulative KC hours. Ask any board member for the username/password. Please contact Saad for any comments/questions regarding hours. You can find his contact information by logging in.

The end of the KC year is coming up SOON. Make sure that you will be able to fufill the 50 hour minimum requirement. There are some great service projects available now, so check out the latest agenda and sign up!

If there has been any confusion as to where the Tuesday meetings are now... they are in Ms. William's room (232).  Also, SENIORS: You can pick up a Brea-Olinda Community Service Award form  located next to the activities office.  Your KC service fulfills the requirement. 3.4 (Tues)

Hours have been updated, so make sure to check your status in the club. If anyone is behind in hours, there are plenty of projects to participate in to catch up.

The after school meeting is tomorrow. Please come to elect next year's board. Remember these meetings always count for one hour.

For those of you that did not come to the lunch meeting today: there is a new project on April 20th from 3P-8P. Key Club is helping the Greater Orange County Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children with an annual vigil to commemorate the deaths of loved ones that were lost to violence.

3.2(Sun)

I have been receiving speeches and pictures for the upcoming election. So far I have only received one candidate for each position except for Bulletin Editor. So if anyone is still interested I'll extend the deadline till tonight. You need to email a short speech on who you are and what your qualifications are and a picture of yourself. If there are no candidates for the position of Bulletin Editor for next year, the responsibility to find a person will go in to the hands of next year's officers.

2.21(Thurs)

Hours have finally been updated (Thanks Saad...). To check them on the site, you need the username and password which you can get from any officer.

The Brea Dance Concert needs volunteers for next week, Feb. 28 and 29. KCers will help with ushering, passing out programs, monitoring, etc. Please contact Breanna Farris if you are interested.

CLICK HERE for more information on the various recognition awards you can receive for things including talent, original oratory, service, and spirit.

2.6(Wed)

The 07-08 KC year is almost coming to a close. That means that elections are coming up! By next Wednesday, the board would like any interested candidates to submit their intentions. Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Bulletin Editor.  Candidates are highly encouraged to attend district convention.

I know that many KCers are worried about achieving their hour requirement. The board and I are working hard to find projects and events for everyone to attend to. So please take advantage of the opportunities that we present.

Feel free to show your KC spirit by wearing our 30N shirt to any project that you may be volunteering at!

Also, the board and I love hearing from you guys! Please feel free to contact us about any questions, comments, or suggestions that you may have.

Key Club is always on the lookout for new projects! If you or someone you know needs help with something that our club can lend our services to, let an officer know.

I also fixed the "hidden link" and I must say, it's pretty hard to find!

Congratulations to Stephanie Chen, our October Key Clubber of the Month. Stephanie is an active volunteer who regularly attends meetings. She is a great example of a Key Clubber. As a reward for her hard-work she received a gift card to Yardhouse. Keep up the good work Stephanie!

More projects for you KCers!

I just wanted to inform you guys that the Nutcracker Boutique is coming around the corner. Details will come later in the next agenda, but the dates are November 15, 16, and 17.

The Family Day project needs lots of volunteers, so please sign up via the Agendas/Resources link! Duties include set up, take down, loading/unloading of vendor's materials, greeting guests and much more.

Also, I want to emphasize the fact that I do post the agenda online every week. So for you KCers who leave at lunchtime or for those of you that miss a Tuesday meeting, please download the agenda. This saves time for you and paper! This allows members to listen to the President's announcements, sign in, and then leave. And as stated before, you can sign up for projects/events through the Agendas page.

10.16.07(Tues.)

Prospective members can still join! Dues are now $25 with a shirt and $20 without.

Paid members will be able to check their hours soon.

You can now sign up for projects and events online by filling out the online form found under the Agendas/Resources link.

10.2.07 (Tues.)

Come to the afterschool meeting tomorrow! We're having pizza and our Kiwanis sponsors are coming to join us. If you didn't get a chance to pick up an hour power sheet of even an agenda, just click on resources and print one out!!

Tuesday meetings in the auxiliary gym are back!! The exec. board is busying planning out a really exciting year. So make sure you come stop by to sign up for the new 07-08 year and to pay your membership dues. I will post more detailed information for new members and for the projects/events later this week when I have time. Remember this site is to be used as a resource.

I'm sorry that the url to this site is sort of hard to remember. It's too complicated to pay money for a domain name under the KC account because each year the board/advisers change. So, remember to just bookmark it!!

Hey everyone!

Let me just start by saying, PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THE CHAT BOX. I will delete your messages and block you for an undisclosed amount of time.
